About: this image was made with a 4×5 camera in Brooklyn under the J train’s elevated track. Lamppost bases are popular places for promotional fliers in New York; this faded weathered white flier is marked with red paint by a MTA employee to indicate the lamp is due for inspection; in this instance, it looks as if an exclamation point is hovering over an illegible declaration; the working title is Proclamation.
