About: I came across this immense white crab-apple tree at the NYBG in early May 2008 and brought me to a complete standstill. It was in full bloom, pure white and 70 feet high, a very very impressive sight. A highly respected botanical institution, NYBG is one of the oldest in the country. The grounds and trees are meticulously cared for and manicured. The images were made with a high-resolution digital camera.
