About: Medellín is built in a large high mountain valley in the Andes about 400 miles north of the Equator. Rain is frequent and heavy and a system of large canals drain the runoff from the surrounding mountains into the river that flows down the middle of the valley through the city. I found this image encircled by tag-like graffiti about a meter above the channel on a smooth concrete wall inside the Calle 31A Canal.
