  Bob Cato (1923-1999)

Painter, collagist, art director, graphic designer, and photographer

As a commercial artist, Bob Cato won two Grammy awards for art direction; he was a graphic designer, a poster of his design is in the Museum of Modern Art's permanent graphic design collection; he also photographed many of the major jazz, classical, rock and pop figures of the 50s, 60s and 70s.  His first love was painting and collage and had exhibits at galleries in New York, Philadelphia, and Milan among others.

  Bettina Bailey Cato (1954-1983)

Painter, watercolorist

Bettina Cato worked primarily in watercolor. In the early 70s, she was profiled by People magazine as an emerging painter.  She had several exhibits in the Los Angeles area.

Prints of Bettina's work are now available in limited edition archival digital prints.
